As you arrive at Shri Govindaji Gaudiya Math, you are greeted by a sense of peace. Our temple is designed as a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Houston life.

Before entering the main hall, visitors traditionally leave their shoes in the designated area as a mark of respect for the sacred space.

The Temple Hall (Natya Mandir)

Upon entering, you find yourself in the Natya Mandir. The high ceilings and natural light create an atmosphere of openness. This is where the community gathers for congregational chanting (Kirtan) and listens to the nectar of Hari-katha. The walls are adorned with paintings depicting the pastimes of the Lord.

The Heart: Sri Sri Radha-Govindaji

At the center of the temple resides the focal point of our devotion: the beautiful Deities. Seeing the Lord’s form is known as 'Darshan.'

Our Pujaris carefully dress the Deities daily in vibrant silks and fresh flower garlands, maintaining a standard of worship established by our Acharyas.

Garden & Parikrama

Outside, our peaceful garden offers a space for quiet reflection.

The Parikrama path allows devotees to walk meditatively around the temple, a traditional practice of honoring the sacred ground. It’s a favorite spot for morning Japa (meditation on beads).
